Contacting Home Owners

Our Villas sites give visitors many options in contacting home owners for potential vacation home bookings. We offer owner phone numbers, email contact forms and enquiry submission.

If you are set on a specific home and need information immediately, we suggest you call the owner directly using the phone number listed with the home. This will make sure that you get an immediate response and give you an opportunity to start a personal relationship with the owner you wish to book with. However, some homes may not list their number and/or you may not be certain about the home you wish to book… so you can also use our other contact methods.

The other two methods for contacting owners both involve email; the two email options operate in different fashions.

Email

The first way to reach an owner is to click a link with the owner’s listing called “Email Owner”. By clicking this link you will be sent to a simple email form where you enter your email address and type a message. By using this method, your email is immediately sent to the home owner—and only that home owner. Using this method is a direct means to contact the owner—but remember that it is up to you to provide all the contact information (including current and accurate email address). If you fail to include accurate contact information, the owner will not be able to respond to you. (If you do not see the “Email Owner” link with a home, then the owner has not verified his/her email address with our site or has opted not to allow direct email links in his/her account manager.)

Booking Enquiries

The second email method is called an Enquiry. Understanding our enquiry system is important to understanding how many responses you will get from our site. When filling out the enquiry form, you will have to give details about your intended vacation, including dates, your phone number, email address, etc.

If you send a single direct enquiry your vacation details and contact information will be sent directly to the owner you sent it to. Direct enquiries are sent via the link called “Get Quote from Owner” located with a home’s details. Sending a direct enquiry to an owner is a way to let the owner of a particular home know that their villa caught your attention and that you are more than mildly interested in their home (as your enquiry will only go to that owner).

You can also send an enquiry to multiple homes at once. You may opt to take this course if you are not set on the exact destination, date or home. You must remember, however, that you may get several responses from our owners whose homes match your criteria. The more general your inquiry, the more responses you get. If you limit your enquiry to a specific subdivision, only homes in that subdivision will see your enquiry.

Enquiry Form Explanation

Bedrooms

Enter the number of bedrooms you will need for your vacation. A guideline is to have one room for every two guests. If you choose “Strict” from “Room Selection” (below) only homes that match your room needs will see your enquiry.

Room Selection

You must let us know whether your enquiry has to have the number of rooms you selected or is open to negotiation. If you choose strict, only homes that match your room size will get your enquiry. If you choose “Not Strict” then homeowners who have opted to get your room-size enquiries will get an opportunity to make you an offer. (For example, you may choose three bedrooms but Not Strict, and a four-bed home owner may offer you his/her home because they need to book the dates in your vacation.)

Adults

Here you must enter the number of adults in the party.

Children

Here you must enter the number of children (if any) in your vacation party.

Area

The area is a broad geographical division of the homes on this site. You are required to choose an area to submit your enquiry. You may opt to further limit the enquiry to a subdivision (below) in this area. (If you have JavaScript enabled, the subdivision menu changes when you change your area.)

Subdivision

This is a subdivision of an area on this site. While it is not necessary to choose a subdivision when submitting your enquiry, it is recommended that you select a subdivision—especially if you already know the area you intend to vacation at. By choosing a subdivision, you limit your responses to only homes that are located in that subdivision.

Name, Phone and Email

You must provide contact information for your enquiry. Please note that the information you provide must be accurate or the owner(s) will not be able to contact you.

Dates

When submitting an enquiry, you are required to enter the start and end dates of your intended vacation. This lets the owners know whether or not they can accommodate your needs. If your vacation dates are set in stone you should check the “Strict Dates” (below) option.

Strict Dates

This flag tells our owners that your vacation is set in stone and that the dates are not negotiable. If you leave this option unchecked, you are implying to the owners that your dates are flexible.

Special Requirements

This is an open text field that lets you attach a note to your enquiry. Use this field to make notes about your vacation, including special needs and considerations.

Currency

Because our home owners are often from different countries, you must let them know the kind of currency that you will pay for bookings (should you choose to book a villa).

Security Code

The security code is a random alphanumeric code that you must copy (an image appears) to prove that you are a human making this enquiry. (There are sometimes automated systems that attempt to send our owners spam—and this code prevents those automated spam attacks.)

Remember Me

If you check this option the site will write a cookie on your computer that will allow us to remember you and your vacation details the next time you come to the site. This is a convenience option so that you do not have to type in your details again if you intend to send enquiries to multiple owners. If you are using a public computer, you should probably not check this option.

Send

Once you have completed the enquiry form, click “Send to Owners > >”.
