Finding your Vacation Home

Finding the perfect private vacation home is simple on our Villas sites. There are several ways to get the home you want. Finding homes is the subject of this article.

Navigating For Villas

At the top of each Villas site is a drop-down navigation menu. Here you can find homes in specific geographic areas. For example, on Last Minute Villas the navigation menu divides the Orlando-Kissimmee homes from the Gulf Coast homes. If you click on one of these links, you will see all homes in that large area.

When you hover over one of these areas, you should see a drop-down menu that breaks up that area into home-size. By clicking on a home size, you will limit your search to homes of that size in the area that opened the drop-down. (Note that you must have JavaScript enabled on your browser in order to see the drop-down. Also, the drop-down does not work on Internet Explorer on the Macintosh.)

You can further delve into the site by seeing a fly-out menu when hovering over a room-size. On Last Minute Villas, for example, you can hover over Orlando-Kissimmee, move down to 4 Bedrooms and then select a subdivision such as Florida Pines or Santa Cruz. In this way you will see only 4-bed homes in the subdivision you selected. (As noted above, JavaScript is necessary for this fly-out submenu—although the menu appears at the bottom of the page on text-based browsers.)

Specific Searches

You can also search for homes with a search form located on most pages. The form allows you to select an area and/or subdivision and/or room size; furthermore, you can select a date-range that covers your intended vacation. The results will show homes that match your criteria.

Please note that you do not need to enter a date range for the search to work—however, the homes matching your date will only appear if and only if you enter a complete start and end date. When you enter a date range properly, the homes displayed will sort in the order of homes matching your criteria AND having the most available days in the range you entered.

Keyword Searching

You can also search homes by keywords. You can do this by entering text in the search field in the navigation bar and selecting “Villas” from the drop-down menu (the other option is “Articles”). The results on this page will display homes that include the text you are searching for in their home descriptions.

Once you have found a home (or homes) that matches your wishes, it is time to contact the owner(s).
