Using your Villas Calendar

Using your Villas Calendar

Our sites are equipped with a very useful Availability Calendar that lets vacationers know when your home is available. This is a valuable resource for vacationers who have specific date needs.

Using your Availability Calendar is essential to your success on our site. While we do not force members to use it, and we even allow owners to put a link to another site’s calendar instead, we highly recommend the use of the internal calendar. Foremost… villas displayed in any listing page (areas, subdivisions, room numbers, etc) are displayed in order of availability as determined by the internal calendar. This ensures that homes that are open today and this week will display first (which plays into the theme of our first site “Last Minute Villas”).

To set the dates of your calendar’s availability, go to the website, login with your username and password and then click on “My Villas” in your Villas Control Panel. From here you will see a list of all your villas and links to each villa’s Availability Calendar.

NOTE: your availability calendar is only available if your villa has been paid for and is still in its active period. If you have already paid for your villa and still cannot access your calendar, you should check to see if your payment has been processed. We review each order manually before processing an order… so your order may not be processed until the next business day.

Once in the calendar, you will see a calendar form. (While logged into your account, your villa calendar will always appear as a form. Only when you log out will you see your calendar as others see it.) In our calendar, you must click on each date that is available and then click “Update” at the bottom. The calendar is updated one year at a time. When you click the Update button, the form is submitted and the year you are working on will be submitted.

There are a few special checkboxes on the page (that currently require JavaScript to work properly). The first to notice is at the bottom of the form and is labeled “Check/Uncheck All this year”. When checked, all dates in the currently displayed year will be checked. NOTE: If you continue to uncheck the Check/Uncheck All box, all dates for the year will then become unchecked or checked depending on that control checkbox.

If you make a mistake, you can simply click the “Reset” button at the bottom.

The other control checkboxes are for each individual month. There is a checkbox inside each month that reads “All month name” (All January, All November, etc) . This function operates like the Check/Uncheck all this Year except it is applied only to the month in which it belongs.

Once you have updated the dates for the current year, you should go into the next year and add your available dates.

Tips:

  • When adding dates to a year where you do not yet have any bookings or have very few bookings, it is best to start the form by clicking Check/Uncheck All and then un-checking the known booking dates.
  • If you make a mistake, you can simply click the “Reset” button at the bottom.
