Online Booking

The information below is broken up into two section. The first is for visitors wishing to book a villa. The second is for members who need information on the booking system.

Booking Information for Visitors

Some homes on out sites have paid for the ability to take booking payments online through our sites. Those homes are designated with icons and links to “Pay for Booking” (the exact icon may change from site to site; on Last Minute Villas the icon is of credit cards).

By clicking the Booking link, you are taken to a form that looks very much like an Enquiry form except is has a field for how much the booking payment is for. Fill out all the details of your booking. However—you should never enter a booking into the system until you have already made arrangements with the owner. You can contact the owner via email links attached to the owner’s villa page or call the owner with the phone number they have inserted.

You should verify the dates and other information on your form. Make sure to select the proper currency as the bookings can be paid in either U.S. Dollars or British Pounds. Some information is verified on the server end (like dates that do not exist such as February 30 and whether or not you chose the right currency) but it is up to you to enter the correct information. Note that if you enter the wrong email address and phone number, the owner may not be able to contact you.

After filling out the booking form you will be directed to our shopping cart. Here you will follow the checkout process.

1. Verify the total of your order. Click “Checkout” to complete your online payment.
2. Login to your shopping account or create a shopping account. If you have already booked through our site before, click the login link and your account details will be pre-filled (if you have forgotten your login information, enter your email address in the form to retrieve your password). If you have not created an account, enter your billing details and create a login by entering your email address and a password you will use for our site.
3. Enter your credit card information. After you enter your credit card information and hit the submit button, your order will go into our system. There it will sit until the owner of the home you have booked verifies that your booking is valid; after the owner has validated your booking, our processing department will process your order. Note that our processing hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST. You will receive an email notifying you that we have processed your order.

For problems with the booking forms, feel free to contact us. For issues relating directly to your booking and stay, you should contact the owner directly.

Some owners may have a guestbook turned on. If so, we encourage visitors to leave comments, praise and advice on homes in which they have stayed.

Booking Information for Home Owners

If you are a home owner on our site, you can choose to accept online booking. This facility will add a “Pay for Booking” link with your home listing. The process works like this: after you have made arrangements with a client to book your home, you direct the client to this link. The visitor will fill out a form similar to an enquiry form and submit a credit payment (details of this process are explained above). You will receive an email notification that someone has made an online booking payment—the email will contain general details about the booking and links to confirm or deny the booking. If you confirm the booking, we will process the booking payment; if you deny the booking, we will delete the order and alert the booker.

We will hold onto your payment for thirty days. After thirty days, we will send you a check for the booking (minus our processing fee). Contact us directly for more information on our processing fee. To purchase an annual subscription to the Booking Privilege, login to your account and add “Booking Privilege” to your shopping cart in your Villas Control Panel.
